build-a-bear nightmare

Noah really loves his stuffed animals! Most he's inherited from Rob or I or is borrowing from his brother, but he loves every one of them. He will be in bed with 25 animals and suddenly say, "Mom, where is Julien?" and just can't go to sleep until we have located the one missing animal. So, I thought for his 4th birthday, it would be really special to take him to Build-a-Bear so he could make his very own special buddy. He was excited, and picked out a puppy. Everything was going well until it was time to give the puppy to the lady to stuff it, sew it, etc.Apparently, Noah was envisioning taking home the skin of the dog, with no stuffing. As soon as the stuffing began, he threw a FIT. He sometime gets in "moods", but I have only witnessed this sort of fit once or twice before. Ever. He actually layed down on the floor, kicking, screaming, crying. I was mortified, and unable to talk any sense into him. Luckily, we were the only customers in the store. And they see this sort of thing all the time, right?

Don't be fooled by him looking happy, this is before "Fluppy" got stuffed.

Later that day he said, "Sorry Mom. I made a really big fit today". That's an understatement!
Luckily, Fluppy has fit right in, and is special to Noah.
