Until yesterday, Noah had had just two haircuts. We always put it off because it's such an awful experience. Noah is terrified, he screams, he cries, the hair cut ladies talk to him in an overly high-pitched voice (which drives Rob nuts), and ultimately, they attempt to bribe him with a sucker, which ends up getting covered in hair! Gross! In the end, we spend way too much money (that's what you get for going to the kids cut place), on a really mediocre haircut that I have to attempt to touch-up after we get home.
At last, a brilliant solution! My friend Ted cuts hair and loves Noah. Noah loves Ted too, so when Ted came over to "play", Noah happily sat in the chair, played with his new comb (thanks Ted!), and let Ted cut his hair! No tears, no screaming, no hair-covered lollipops, and a great haircut! A win, win for all involved! As Noah ran around happily showing off his new 'do, all Rob and I could say was, "What took us so long to figure this one out". We've already planned another haircut for about 6 weeks, instead of waiting 6 months like we've done in the past.
