Concert in the Park

Once a month our neighborhood hosts a concert in the park a few blocks from our house. Noah and I came out to check out the jumpy castles and the music. Turns out he was terrified of the jumpy things, but loved the jazz. We'll definitely come out in August too, but maybe with a picnic dinner!
Noah loves to push his stroller. He's going to be a great helper with the new baby! (fingers crossed!)

Showing off his moves, trying to get the attention of some little girls near by!

Noah and Mommy, the best "self-photo" we could manage. He was captivated by the music!

Hey Girl... How you doin'?

Dancing with some strangers, umm, I mean, new friends!

MOPS Retreat!

So, I know this blog is called "Noah's Life" (which will have to be changed soon to include his new baby brother), but since becoming Noah's mommy led me to MOPS, I thought I'd include a few photos from my retreat last weekend. MOPS stands for "Mothers of Preschoolers", and Erinn got me involved last year. Basically, it's like an awesome support group and network of other moms with little one's, and we meet once a month at a local church. This year, I was asked to join the steering committee and be in charge of "creative activities", aka "crafts"! So, due to my complete inability to say no, I've taken on yet another thing, but I love these women, and I think we're going to have a great year!

Also, I realize that I haven't really posted any photos with my pregnant belly, so there's that. This week is 30 weeks! Holy Cow! We're going to have a baby before we know it!
I'm really not good at silly (well, posed silly anyways)...

Who needs a "Pack 'n Play" when you have a laundry basket? Erinn's youngest, Ben, enjoyed his time with 14 women, and slept in a laundry basket both night. Must have been cozy, because he barely made a peep!

a tribute to MJ...

Who doesn't love a little vintage Michael Jackson? You know, before his off-stage antics upstaged his on-stage talent?! This is Noah's tribute to Michael Jackson!

not mom's brightest idea...

Mr. Independent doesn't always like to ride in the stroller, now that he's a big boy. I thought it would be a great idea to give him a fudgsicle to coerce him into the stroller. (Yes, I know he had a popsicle for breakfast, but after all, it's a national holiday, he's supposed to eat junk food, right?) Well, this is how Noah looked when we ended our walk around the 'hood.

Noah is extremely polite, and loves to say thank you. When I took the popsicle away to get him our of the stroller, he flashed me this grin and said, "Thanks Mom!".

We've had a great day together!

Happy Birthday USA!

Although Rob had to work (boo!), Noah and I decided to celebrate the 4th by participating in the annual Bradburn 4th of July parade! It was a lot to take in, and Noah, my little "people watcher" did really well! All the kids decorate their bikes, scooters, wagons, etc., and parade around the neighborhood, led by a fire truck. Grandma and Grandpa came to watch! The parade concludes with a party in the park right across from our house. It was lots of fun!

Noah and I "pimped his ride" with streamers and star garland, we also had a big balloon, but that stayed with Grandma and Grandpa during the parade!

All the neighborhood kids gathering for the parade!

Noah loves fire trucks! Must be genetic!

I finally got him to sit in the wagon! It took some convincing! I think he was a little bit overwhelmed with all the people!

Noah and Grandpa checking out the fire truck! (In matching shirts... yes, my mom had one too!)

After running around in the park and having popsicles for breakfast!

Noah showing his patriotic side!

We can't wait until next year when Daddy will be here too... and Noah's new baby brother!

new pool at grandma's!

Grandma saw this pool, and couldn't resist! Noah's glad she didn't! It took him a few minutes to warm up to it, but then he didn't want to get out! His favorite part was the water-spraying dolphin! Thanks Grandma!

He was shivering and his lips were turning blue, but he continued to assure me that he wasn't cold and he didn't want to get out! He looked so cute all wrapped up!

"I'll get your back if you get mine!"

Steven was kind enough to help scrub Noah's back! Noah was kind enough to dump some water on his cousin!
