Less distance for the crumbs to fall...

Seating was at a premium last weekend at Noah's birthday party, so Erinn arranged Lydia, Jack, and Carter picnic-style on the floor with their lunches. Of course, Noah didn't want to eat at the table when all the other kids were eating on the floor, so he joined them. Yesterday morning, he must have remembered, and he asked to have his toast on the floor. I'm a big believer in picking my battles, so, there he sat, very carefully eating his toast and jam on the kitchen floor.

Yummy!
I got a very sticky kiss when he was done with his breakfast. What a sweet boy!

The Davis Bakery

Rob decided to test his culinary skills on Friday night by baking boxed brownies. Of course, our little chef wanted to help out as well. Miraculously, Rob read the box correctly, and the brownies were delicious. Noah especially loved the last job we gave him... licking the bowl!

finger-licking good!

wait... there's a little more in there!

What's your guess?

Take our new poll (on the top right column), and let us know what you think the gender of baby D will be! Our ultrasound in scheduled for May 13th, so we'll see who gets it right!

Official Two-Year Stats...

Rob and I took Noah to the doctor on Tuesday for his two-year check-up! Dr. B. thought that everything looked good. We're still working on introducing potty training (Noah only likes to sit on the potty when his clothes are on, which is obviously counter-productive!). Noah's vocabulary is growing everyday, he's such a sponge! We're hoping that soon he'll put all the words he knows together into more phrases and sentences. We are so grateful for our sweet, joyful little boy! He's just such a happy little guy!
Here's how he "ranked" (not sure this really means anything, but hey...):
Weight: 26.6 pounds or 35%
Height: 55%
Head: 50%
Of course, these are all approximate, as Noah did not enjoy having his head measured and being poked and prodded. He did get one shot, a hep A vaccine, and two suckers to reward the ordeal. We were planning an afternoon trip to the zoo, but we were all so exhausted after the doctor, that we decided to lay low at home in the afternoon! Noah fell asleep in his seat, his whole face shiny and sticky with all of the sucker goo, before we were barely out of Boulder!

Secret Playground

Noah made his way through this tunnel very fast, but the sand he found at the end really made his day. I thought he wasn't ever going to come out.

Noah came down this slide so fast I almost missed the video. Notice the cool sound effects from Dad. Down the slide with no problems.

He let out a really big "Oh man" when he saw the slide.

Holy playground!

Truck and Duck

Noah got some new Matchbox cars for Easter. This truck came with a trailer that was used for pulling his duck around.
I bet you're wondering where my pants are?

Sidewalk Chalk

What?
Not your average rock anymore. Bright and colorful.

Noah got some chalk in his Easter basket and quickly decided that our sidewalk needed some color.
