Ooops, we did it again!

Actually, it wasn't an "oops" at all, Rob, Noah and I are thrilled to announce that the Davis family is going to have a new member! Noah will become a big brother sometime around September 25th! It's still early on, so please say a prayer that we all stay healthy! Also, say a prayer that Noah learns to share and use the potty before he has a sibling!

Another trip with Dad to Toys R Us!

It seems that at least once a week, while I'm hard at work, Noah and Rob voyage off to Toys R Us. They've come home with any number of things... a slide, books (thank God!), GI Joes (no, those were not for Noah), well, the latest purchase was a trike! Noah's not too sure about it just yet, although he's quickly improving! At first he couldn't steer and pedal at the same time, but after lots of practice cruising around the basement, he's starting to get the hang of it!

He's got a long way to go before he's a "state champion" BMX'er like his Daddy!
(Not a great picture, we'll get some better ones soon!)

Big shoes to fill...

I was cleaning up the office, turned around, and saw Noah trying to walk around in Rob's shoes. If you know us well, you know it's a running joke that I loath these shoes! Finally Rob has someone on his side! Noah didn't want to take them off!
(No, I don't remember why he had his shirt off, I was just thankful he was wearing pants!)

Isn't he sweet?

Don't let that innocent grin fool you! Noah had just finished a twenty-five minute tantrum because I wouldn't let him watch t.v. He refused to eat dinner until I ignored him for ten minutes, then he quietly came to the table and started eating his french toast! (I was craving hash browns, so we had breakfast for dinner!)

Big Hug for Daddy

Noah was giving Rob the best hugs after he got out of the tub and ready for bed the other night! I said, "squeeze, squeeze, squeeze", and he did, giggling the whole time!

Truck 28

Rob's last stop on probation is Station 28. Almost done!
Please pray that he gets stationed a bit closer to home (28's is at Quincy & Sheridan)... we'll find out in April! The station's a bit slower than others he's been at, so they like to play "20 questions" with Rob, stuff like "What's your wife's favorite drink at Starbucks, what kind of car do you drive, etc., etc., etc." Rob loves the inquisition!

...outside the box

Noah is getting creative and likes to play pretend. This piece of styrofoam from my new Kitchen Aid mixer (thanks Mom & Dad!), became a truck (with noises and all), a home for his ducks, and a chair!

Now it's a chair!

peas please!

When the peas on the plate just were not enough, he helped himself by climbing onto the table, and grabbing the serving spoon and bowl. This boy loves his fruits and veggies!

oral hygiene...

Noah is completed fixated with brushing his teeth. We actually have daily struggles to get him to put down his tooth brush! Below is Noah cuddling with Rob while brushing his teeth with MY new "spinbrush". He thinks it's pretty cool. Guess I need another new toothbrush!

Pointing at his favorite guy!

cute!

ouch!

Time for Daddy to brush too!

Rob looks thrilled!

Sandbox...

The weather here has been crazy! I think the day we spent all afternoon in the sandbox, it reached a high of 72! (Knock on wood) We've had the most mild winter!

Mr. Clean, Mr. Clean...

I'm noticing a theme here... I don't think my son likes pants! (I guess I didn't need to look through photos to know that Noah would take "naked" any day!)

Trying to help in the thankless task of keeping these terrible floors clean. Thanks Noah!

Rob thinks its time for a haircut, but I'm resisting.

Noah's Room

I almost forgot, one other very important room in the house is pretty much "done"... Noah's room (his room was actually done before the kitchen).

Here's the door... he liked the silly letters at the Children's Museum when we went last month. Notice his cool skateboard too!

I think his room looks cooler in person. Notice the airplane and clouds on the angled ceiling (the ceiling aren't white, they're actually a much lighter shade of blue).

Those are the animals that Rob and I painted for Noah before he was born.
Also, I realize now that I didn't take a single picture of one entire side of the room (all his windows and toy bins, etc.). Ooops!

Noah in his room, working on his tool bench.

We do a lot of home improvement work around here without our pants! Ha!

Random Noah

All right... it's been too long! Back in the rut of working too much and feeling stretched thin, and the blog seems to fall by the wayside. I've heard my critics (how's Steven's blog, Lauren and Chris), and I will try to update more frequently!

Noah wanted to push his stroller to go get the mail on one of our 70 degree February days!

Yes, we're still on the ducks!

Noah had accidentally left the ducks in my car the other day. I was at work, and my mom was home with him, and he searched the whole house saying, "Duck, duck, duck???" He was relieved to see me walk in the house with them when I got home.
